This being the week of Valentine’s Day we had a lot of crafts and fun throughout the week. We ended the week with lounging Saturday morning during which Daddy surprised us with some tasty pancakes complete with chocolate sauce and strawberries! A pre-Valentines Day treat.
During the week we finished Finn’s Valentine’s Day cards for his classmates. Since he is in the Guppy class we decided to make little fishy cards and put a heart-shaped Jolly Rancher sucker on each one.
He also made heart-shaped sugar cookies and decorated them with Debbie. They were really tasty and cute!
Even though it was really cold on trash night, Griffin insisted that he help Kevin take the trash out. So he got all bundled up (even though he was in his jammies) and out they went.
And Griffin got a Valentine’s Day card from Grandma and Grandpa Beilstein – all the way from Florida, Elmo delivered a hug!
This week I was able to Attend Griffin’s Valentine’s Day party at preschool. They had a plateful of treats and sang songs for the parents who came. We also filled each of his classmates bags with the Guppy Valentine’s day cards that we made at home. It was a fun day and Griffin had the happiest smile on his face when he realized I was at his class – I surprised him and hadn’t told him in advance that I would be at his party. When Amy arrived with Graham, Graham gave me a sweet red Carnation that he brought for me from his class. It was such a nice gesture!
Lots of learning of shapes, sides, numbers, and about Humpty Dumpty lately! And family movie night in the basement, complete with popcorn and movie theater candy.
And Kevin and I made it out for date night on Valentine’s Day. We had drinks and a nice dinner at Cap City in Grandview. We had yummy dinners and a sweet pink cake for dessert!
And here is the latest stage of the new greenhouses at Millcreek. One of the slowest building processes ever due to the wacky winter weather this year. It’s either frozen or wet and swampy!
