Here he is at 11 weeks – a real cutie, eh? We have had quite a fun-filled week. We began on Saturday with cousin Graham’s 3rd birthday party at Amy and Andy’s house. It was a fun construction-themed birthday and several of Graham’s friends were able to come and play. Once again, I’ve snatched a few photos below from Amy. I went to take the first photo at the party and realized the camera battery was dead, ugh!
In the last week or so we had the stumps ground down from some large trees we had taken down in the winter. So Kevin spent a couple hours in the yard hauling all of the wood that remained to the back of our property. Hopefully it will make for some good fires this winter! None of the girls care for the loudness of the lawn mower, but I was able to get Lily to “pose” for a couple of quick photos outside. And of course Bear loves to just bask in the sunshine…
On Memorial Day started the morning by going to the Powell Memorial Day Parade. It was a cloudy and wet morning through the rain held off for most of the parade until right toward the end. Finn was asleep when we arrived, but we took him out of the car seat to see the parade and he woke up and stayed awake through most all of it (though you can see he got a bit bleary!). Check out our little patriot!
In the afternoon we headed to our friends James & Laura’s home for a fun cookout with lots of friends. Thankfully the weather cleared up and we spent a few hours hanging out in their back yard talking with old friends and new.
On Thursday I took Finn on a nice jaunt around our neighborhood and the surrounding ones as well. We were out and about for right around a hour. It was a hot and humid day and Finn slept a good 40 minutes of the walk. He was all smiles when he woke up!
On Friday FInn and I headed to the Memorial Golf Tournament in Dublin with our friend Sarah and her daughters Audrey and Samantha. I wasn’t quite sure how he would do and since golf rules require absolute silence during play I was a bit nervous! He ended up sleeping almost the entire time other than a quick stop for lunch. It was perfect timing to take a few photos and a great day for a walk around the course!
We purchased a few new nyla bones for Cammie and Lily and they made for some happy girls. I no longer had them out of the package before they were each tearing them up! The older ones around the house had been chewed down to bits.
Last week Amy thankfully watched Finn for a few hours while I headed into work. She actually had all 4 kiddos sleeping at once!! She’s a super mom. Before nap time she snapped some super cute photos of Greta and Griffin together. They are so cute – so I’m reposting a couple here from her blog: www.chezbethune.blogspot.com.
