Finn ~ 44 weeks

DSC_0324-2Look at him standing like a big boy! He regularly lets go of objects and stands anywhere from a second or two to nearly 10 seconds. It really is amazing to me to watch him grow and develop!

Finn had his first sickness of sorts this week, an ear infection in his right ear. Poor little guy woke up Saturday morning with his first ever fever, 102.2, and had a boogy hanging from his nose to the second snap on his sleeper :(.  His fever went away quickly with Tylenol and Sunday and Monday he was back to normal, almost, just not quite sleeping as well as he usually does. He would sleep while being held, but would awaken once you put him down in his crib. And on Sunday night he woke up three different times during the night which is totally out of character! On Monday Kevin took him to the doctor so he’s been on amoxicillin since then and he’s doing really well. Much like he enjoys eating foods, he also likes his medicine so much that when we put it in his mouth he utters “mmm” afterward!

Finn is really good at crawling and pulling himself up on everything. Lately he’s loving opening all of the kitchen drawers and cabinets that aren’t yet baby-proofed! DSC_0178-2 DSC_0177-2 DSC_0171-2 DSC_0180-2 DSC_0187-2 DSC_0196-2 DSC_0197-2 DSC_0194-2 DSC_0201-2 DSC_0190-2 DSC_0204-2 DSC_0214-2 DSC_0212-2 DSC_0220-2 DSC_0225-2 DSC_0227-2 DSC_0235-2 DSC_0236-2 DSC_0288-2 DSC_0306-2 DSC_0302-2

Megan had a big week with work, with the CENTS show in downtown Columbus and the coordinating ‘go-live’ of the newly redesigned Millcreek Gardens website. It has been about 2 or 3 years (in thought and intention!) and the last several months in design and execution and I am happy to have it live for everyone to see! One huge check mark off my work plate. The plant database isn’t yet live, that will be another week or two, but everything else is up and running. The new site focuses much more on imagery and fine photography, and also showcases our great team of people. Check it out if you get bored!

Here you can watch Finn put things in and out. He gets a little daring at the end and stands up on his own too.

Finn is loving Sesame Street when we occasionally put it on the television. Here he is hanging out with daddy. I love to check on him while he’s sleeping – he looks so cute with his arms tucked under and his little bum up in the air!IMG_20140112_150112593-2 IMG_20140112_093003427-2 IMG_20140112_104255623-2 IMG_20140112_104310176-2 IMG_20140117_072227645-2
