This week we did another round of hand and foot impressions with new material. It turns out the ones we did a week or so ago turned out just ok. The material had so much air and fluffyness to it that Finn’s hands and feet didn’t stay that deep into the material so it was a bit hard to make out his cute little hands and feet. These one’s are keepers for sure, and it is amazing to see how much bigger his hands and feet are in just over a week!
To celebrate tax day we followed up our run to the Post Office with dinner at Easy Street. Finn is loving to stand up more and more and enjoys using his leg muscles. He loves to be held upright, his favorite position is to be upright against your shoulder, especially if he is fussy or needs to burp. He continues to sleep really well, especially at night, sleeping about 3 ½ hours at a stretch. He is definitely beginning to smile more and recognize our faces and voices. He has the cutest facial expressions! He had yet another bath which makes his hair so cute and fuzzy, it reminds me of a baby bird! I think his hair definitely has some lighter highlights.
Grandma and Grandpa Armstrong came for a visit on Thursday evening. They brought a tasty Godfather’s Pizza, daddy’s favorite, and an awesome strawberry pie for dessert. On Friday Finn had his 1-month check up. He checked out great. He weighs 9 lb 7.4 ounces, 22 ¼”long, and 38 cm head. He also had his second round of hepatitis B vaccine. I hadn’t realized he was going to receive a shot – he made the saddest face and cried for a few minutes but then recovered quite nicely. Still enough to break your heart when you see the sad, pouty face and tears!
We enjoyed a lovely visit from my longtime friend Nancy, and then Kim and her daughter Audrey this week. Audrey had written the cutest letter for Finn and one for me, just adorable.
