Here he is, our adventuresome 2 year old. While I was outside on Saturday conducting some “backyard cleanup” I asked Finn to either stay on the porch or sit in this chair. He kind of went back and forth between the two. I kept my eye on him from afar and while I was along the back fence I saw him pick up a stick and start poking at the planter you can see in the background. What I couldn’t see from afar was that he was actually digging in deep with his hands and spreading the soil from the planter all over the patio!  When I walked closer I discovered the big mess, but actually thought it was pretty funny.  I’m glad he’s not afraid to mess around in the dirt. He clearly enjoyed himself and being outside of the house though in this last photo he looks a bit guilty 🙂 It was a really calm week here. My mom and dad prepared a lovely lasagna dinner for Saturday night for a family gathering at our place with the Bethune’s. We celebrated Amy’s birthday and mine too with a lovely spring-inspired cake made by mom. And Sunday afternoon we spent some time at Easton starting with lunch at NorthStar followed by a bit of shopping and walking around to enjoy the sunshine. It was still a pretty brisk day.

We even ran in the Easter bunny! Finn spent the next several minutes hopping through the mall!
