Well, it’s been a lot like winter around here despite the calendar saying it is March! We woke up to a picturesque winter scene on March 4th. The snow blanketed all of the grass and trees. It was a very pretty and calm morning. I headed outside to snap a few photos before I headed off to work for the day. Lily was pretty excited to have a play mate to run around with, if even for a few minutes!
The colder temperatures have meant lots of indoor activities for Griffin, including painting Easter Eggs and making Cross necklaces.
And of course, since Easter is nearing that means all of the stores have the Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs, the favorite of all Reese’s products as it has the “perfect peanut butter to chocolate ratio” says Kevin. The instant Finn sees the yellow package, his face lights up and he asks “what’s in that there” followed by a “can I have one?”.
Griffin enjoyed several other fun arts projects this week, including making a Leprechaun. And also lots of practice being Super Heroes around the house. Even Lily likes to play along.
And I learned this week via the American Hosta Growers Association Newsletter, that Dad’s Hosta ‘World Cup’ will be the 2018 Hosta of the Year! That’s a big deal, and I’m super proud that one of my Dad’s many awesome plants is bringing home this distinction!
And here is a fun one I snapped of the two boys being twinsies. It’s funny sometimes to see how Finn has certain mannerisms of Kevin and me. Not the things we’ve taught him, just things he seems to do pretty naturally or instinctively – like sleep (and relax) how Kevin does!
And here Finn is driving his car to both of his grandparents houses. It’s kind of hard to make out his words, but it’s pretty cute and all of it was his idea!
