July 2020 – except vacation!

Vacation at Camp B will require a post all its own as the sheer number of pictures I have is crazy! So this post will have the rest of our adventures in July.

We began the 4th of July with a bike ride to breakfast at Tim Horton’s in Powell. We thought it would be fun  to ride around town some and as it turned out it evolved into a 15 mile ride with pit stops at some fun placed around town like Dairy Queen and Nocterra! It was quite an adventure and afterward Griffin and I chilled out on the couch while Reid and Kevin took naps.

We’ve enjoyed several nice days of warm weather and outdoor play. The boys have also begun swim lessons with an instructor at our neighbors pool. Turns out it’s a really fun day as after lessons we all swim for a couple hours and have a pizza lunch. Pretty nice way to spend a few hours! Our garden grew quite a bit while we were away so we came home to a bountiful harvest!  I’m trying to get  in some days off while it’s still “summer” so to end the month I took a day off and took the boys to Shale Hollow. It’s a nice park about 15 minutes from our house. There is a ton of shade, creeks to walk in, and a natural playground. We took a picnic lunch and it was all I could do to get the boys to go home! Though once we hit the car they were zonked.

Including this one for giggles, lol. Reid seems to have an affinity lately for walking around nu-nu. One early evening I was outside watering the plants and this kid arrives naked and full of silly giggles. Kevin was working and got a ring notification and captured the picture, ha!

The boys continue to have a lot of fun during the day with Lexi. She plans fun themed days, with their help, and they are a big hit. This one in particular Griffin really enjoyed. Jammies all day!

Griffin lost his first upper tooth! Kevin asked him if he wanted it pulled and Griffin initially said yes, and then changed his mind. So Kevin didn’t end up pulling it after all, however, a day or two later Reid accidentally kicked Griffin and out came his tooth!

A few more pictures of Reid falling asleep in all kinds of places and positions! He can sleep anywhere.

We’ve been having a lot of fun time with Brutus and Lily lately. Lots of snuggles and blankets. Reid just adores Lily and can regularly be found sitting near her talking to her and petting her. But if you let him know you see him doing it he asks you to not look at him. Ha!

We got to meet baby Summer! She was born on July 11th (4 days early) and Haya and her husband Mohammad came over when she was 11 days old! Reid and Griffin couldn’t wait to hold her. Haya couldn’t get her out of her car seat fast enough! Lexi stayed to meet Haya as well. It was a fun hour and a half of rotating baby Summer amongst us. Reid was so in love with her he just wanted to help do everything. As you can see he fed her and then promptly wiped her lips. Griffin put her to sleep!

Kevin met up with Deven one evening whom he hadn’t seen in ages. They enjoyed some outdoor time at Nocterra.

We’re trying to wrap up our unfinished porch and Kevin was able to find a carpenter to finish the trim work all around the room including the windows and finish the beams up top. We also had the entire thing painted white. It adds a nice amount of brightness to our family room. Kevin has begun installing flooring which should be complete soon. Finalized pics to come in August.

That’s a wrap on July!
