Happy 2016! We rung in the new year with a very casual no-frills night at home, which was actually quite enjoyable. At about 11:30 Kevin paused the show we were watching and put on the New Years Rockin’ Eve countdown. He went downstairs and came back up with quite a spread! He assembled a nice and tasty snack tray, a couple of drinks, and the champagne that we won at the Tacky Christmas Party in December!  In all honesty I hadn’t even thought we’d stay up to watch the ball drop – so I was quite surprised! Such a good hubbie. He has a real gift for presentations!

It’s otherwise been a very uneventful week. I haven’t taken hardly any photos! Lots of play around the house and just hanging out. I did snag a couple videos of Finn though. 

 

We did head to the Howard’s house on New Year’s day for the OSU-Notre Dame Football game. As per usual, Finn loved playing with a lot of kids (many unfamiliar this time). I think we left Finn there and took home a white puppy instead based on his sweatshirt. He was on the floor playing the entire time and basically looked like a mini Chance and Clarence (the Howard’s dogs). We then headed to chez Bethune for New Years Day dinner with the Beilstein fam. We feasted on a lovely dinner of pork and sauerkraut (a Beilstein tradition), salad, potatoes, and all kinds of things. For the second year in a row Amy made a Buche de Noel cake and it turned out quite nice (and tasty!). A pretty good way to start the new year!
