It was a pretty low-key week around here this week. On Sunday we headed out after church to run several errands, including shopping for our patio planters and front door containers. It was a beautiful, sunny, 80 degree day! I haven’t had a spring “off” in my 15 years at Millcreek, so this spring has been quite the experience being able to see the light of day and enjoy the spring weather!

Kevin had his first real “interactive” play time with Finn this week where Finn was “talking” and smiling back and forth with Kevin for a long period of time. They both quite enjoyed themselves and it was fun for me to see them interact together. Finn also got in some time on the floor with Cameron and Lily. This has been a tough week for me filled with a lot of tears. I head back to work in about 5 weeks and we have begun the research into childcare. We are looking for someone to come to our home each day to care for Finn, so we will see what the week brings. Everything about it makes me feel a range of emotions: sad, scared, anxious, worried, fearful, and the like. This isn’t an easy task for me, and it has been much harder emotionally than I ever had anticipated. I’ve been praying often for God to provide the right person that I will feel comfortable leaving Finn with. I struggle with whether or not I want to continue working. Some days I do, others I do not. I’ve waited a LONG time to be a mom, and I don’t want to miss anything. On the other hand I do enjoy my job and the professional responsibilities I have. So it is a tough call for me. I’m pretty sure Kevin thinks I am an emotional basket case as I’ve broken down into tears on numerous occasions!
